AN stands for "all networks," which refers to time series data focused on providing the best estimate possible using all available data, at the expense of temporal consistency. This is the default PRISM dataset.

LT stands for "long term," which refers to time series data focused on temporal consistency. This dataset uses a subset of data sources that have stations with at least 20-30 years of data.
